The nature of casual violence is explored in this shattering drama. This is the directors semi- autobiographical film which follows the frenetic story of the lucrative fast kidnap businesses that are springing up across parts of Latin America. The focus is on the trapped middle class couple and their captors and is presented by fast cut Images of the incident and roaming shots of the mean streets of Caracas. Much goes awry and the terror of the experience is powerful and brutal.
